The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson, P.A. is pleased to welcome Sofia Sabatini as the newest member of our team as a legal intern. Sofia brings a strong academic background, leadership experience, and a passion for advocacy that make her an excellent addition to our firm.
Originally from Tarpon Springs, Florida, Sofia is currently pursuing her Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law, where she was awarded a Merit Scholarship in recognition of her academic achievements. Prior to law school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, summa cum laude, with a minor in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida.
A Commitment to Legal Excellence
Throughout her academic career, Sofia has demonstrated a commitment to both legal scholarship and service. At Stetson Law, she is a member of the Journal of Aging Law & Policy and serves as Secretary of the Student Animal Legal Defense Fund. Her involvement in these organizations reflects her dedication to advancing legal knowledge while supporting causes that improve the lives of others.
Sofia has also been accepted into Stetson Law’s Environmental Externship Program for Fall 2026, further highlighting her passion for environmental advocacy and sustainability. This opportunity will allow her to gain valuable hands-on experience while working on issues that are important to her personally and professionally.
A Diverse Professional Background
Before entering the legal profession, Sofia developed valuable leadership and customer service skills through her work in the hospitality industry. These experiences strengthened her communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities, all of which are essential qualities for a successful legal professional.

Looking Toward the Future
Outside of her studies and professional pursuits, Sofia enjoys reading, spending time at the beach, and remaining active in her community. She is passionate about environmental conservation and values opportunities to serve others through advocacy and volunteerism.
