Connecting with the Next Generation at Stetson Law

Connecting with Future Attorneys at Stetson Law

The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson was proud to participate in a recent event at Stetson Law, where we had the opportunity to connect with students who are actively shaping the future of the legal profession.

Events like these are always meaningful for our team. Not only do we get to meet new students and hear about their goals, but we also have the chance to reconnect with former interns who have been part of our firm’s journey. Watching their growth and continued dedication to the field is something we value and take pride in.

We are also proud to share that our firm currently includes two Stetson Law alumni. That connection strengthens our relationship with the school and reinforces our commitment to supporting its students as they transition into their legal careers.

Throughout the event, we focused on having real conversations about what students are looking for in their future and what it means to be part of a firm that values both professional development and community involvement. We believe that gaining experience should go beyond the classroom, and that students benefit most when they are actively engaged in meaningful work and relationships.

One of the opportunities we highlighted was our monthly beach cleanup, which allows Stetson Law students to earn two hours of community service or pro bono credit. Held every first Saturday of the month from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Pass-A-Grille, these cleanups provide a way for students to give back while also connecting with our team in a more relaxed and collaborative environment.

These events are not only about service, but they are also about building relationships, staying involved in the community, and creating opportunities for connection outside of a traditional office setting. Many of the conversations that begin in these environments lead to stronger professional relationships over time.

In addition to community involvement, we continue to look for ways to bring students into the firm in a meaningful way. Our goal is to identify individuals who are not only capable and motivated, but who also align with our values of collaboration, growth, and long-term thinking.

As we continue to build our relationship with Stetson Law, we look forward to staying engaged with its students, supporting their development, and identifying future attorneys who are the right fit for our firm.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of this community and look forward to continuing these conversations in the months ahead.
