Making an Impact in St. Pete: 50 Pounds of Trash Removed at Our Latest Beach Cleanup
Last Saturday, our community came together for another successful St. Pete beach cleanup, removing more than 50 pounds of trash from our shoreline. Events like these highlight the power of local involvement and the meaningful impact we can make when we show up together.
Several members of The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson participated in the cleanup, continuing our commitment to community engagement and environmental responsibility. It was a rewarding morning spent not only improving our local beaches but also connecting with others who share the same passion for giving back.
One of the best parts of these cleanups is the accessibility. Whether you attend with coworkers, bring your organization, or come on your own, it is an easy and welcoming way to get involved. Many participants leave having made new connections while contributing to something bigger than themselves.
We are excited to announce that our next Pass-a-Grille cleanup will take place on May 2, and registration is now open. We encourage anyone interested to sign up and be part of this ongoing effort to protect and preserve our local environment.
For students, this is also a valuable opportunity. Stetson Law students who participate receive two hours of pro bono credit, making it both a meaningful and beneficial experience.
Participants also receive parking passes valid until 1:00 PM, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the beach after the cleanup. Whether you choose to relax by the water, take a swim, or grab breakfast at the Seahorse, the morning can easily turn into a full and enjoyable outing. You can also support local vendors by purchasing food at the pavilion, further contributing to the local community.
These cleanups are about more than just picking up trash. They are about supporting small businesses, strengthening community ties, and making a lasting impact on our environment.
We look forward to seeing you at our next cleanup on May 2.
