At The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson, community isn’t just something we talk about — it’s something we do. This October, our team is proud to take part in a wide range of events across St. Petersburg that focus on service, learning, networking, and celebration. From sustainability to social security advocacy, neighborhood cleanups to seasonal fun, there’s something for everyone to be part of.
Here’s a look at what’s ahead this month:
📅 September 30 – Social Security Blitz
10 AM – 2 PM | Daystar Life
We’re joining local banks and community partners to help residents transition from paper Social Security checks to safer electronic payments, as paper checks are being phased out in 2025. Our team will be on-site to answer questions and make the process stress-free.

Sun Leaders is all about nurturing leadership in St. Pete. These gatherings bring together professionals, visionaries, and changemakers for meaningful conversations about building a stronger, more connected community.
🌊 October 4 – Beach Cleanup

Grab a friend and join us as we give back to the environment! Volunteers will enjoy breakfast, swag, and parking courtesy of Keep Pinellas Beautiful. Stetson students can also earn 2 pro bono hours while helping protect our beautiful coastline.
☕ October 10 – Lattes with a Lawyer

🌱 October 15 – Sustainability & Resilience Committee

Our Community Relations & Marketing Coordinator, Alexis Egozcue, chairs this important committee focused on sustainable solutions for St. Pete. Together, we’re working to build resilience for local businesses and the broader community.

Support CASA Pinellas in their mission to end domestic violence by joining this fun and competitive scavenger hunt through the community. Prizes, an after-party, and lots of teamwork make this a meaningful way to give back while having a blast.
🎃 October 26 – Halloween on Central

One of St. Pete’s biggest street festivals returns! Enjoy costumes, music, food, shopping, and family fun in the heart of our city. We’ll be there celebrating alongside the community — don’t miss it!
Why This Matters
Every event we attend or support is another opportunity to connect, give back, and grow stronger as a community. Whether it’s helping seniors secure their benefits, cleaning up our beaches, or cheering on local businesses, our firm is committed to being present where it matters most.
💙 We invite you to join us at one — or all — of these events this October. Together, we can make a difference.
