Is Force Majeure a Legal Way Out of a Contract?

Memorial Day – May 2022

Hello, I’m Doug Jackson, founding attorney of The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson.

It’s Memorial Day, 2022.  Enjoy the weather, enjoy the BBQ, and enjoy the beer.  But stop for a moment to toast to what today is all about.  Memorializing those who sacrificed all to for this great nation.

The United States of America, unfortunately, would not exist without great sacrifice.  In the Revolutionary War, Patriots, who were called rebels at the time, sacrificed everything for a country for not the leader, but for the People.  It was a new concept and extension of freedom, which did not exist in the time.  Every life lost by our amazing military members since that time, has defending that freedom and this country.  It is a sacrifice that must not be forgotten.

We, without a doubt, should celebrate this day as a holiday.  We should enjoy it.  Yet, we can take a moment, which is very much due, to pay our respects to those who have sacrificed everything so that we can enjoy our freedom, today.  Please join me, in a moment of silence.

Thank you to every Patriot and American who has sacrificed his or her life for freedom and for this country.  Thank you to the families of those great Patriots and Americans.

Please everyone enjoy this day, and be safe, and continue to have the great Patriots and Americans who sacrificed all for us, in your thoughts.
