Meet August BEN Speaker: Mark St. Louis, Esq. – Planning for the Future During Make-A-Will Month

The Business Education Network (BEN) Workshop is about bringing together the best minds to share valuable knowledge, and this August, we’re thrilled to introduce Mark St. Louis, Esq. as one of our featured speakers.

Mark’s path to law is a testament to dedication and service. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University before deploying with the Army National Guard in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While overseas, he earned his MBA—laying the foundation for a career that blends strategic thinking with real-world problem-solving.

After returning to the U.S., Mark relocated to Florida to attend Stetson University College of Law. He completed his Juris Doctor part-time while working as the hiring manager for St. Petersburg College and later managing Stetson’s Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy.

Since his admission to the Florida Bar in 2012, Mark has served in corporate counsel roles at New College of Florida, St. Petersburg College, UPC Insurance, Feld Entertainment, and St. Thomas University. In 2025, he joined The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson, where he focuses on transactional law, VA disability representation, and probate.

In honor of Make-A-Will Month, Mark will present:
“Wills, Trusts, Estates, and Business Succession Planning”
This session will give attendees the tools to:

  • Understand the importance of estate planning.

  • Protect business interests for the next generation.

  • Avoid common legal pitfalls that can jeopardize your legacy.
