Honored to Receive the Team Spirit Award from Daystar Life Center

The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson is deeply honored to have received the Team Spirit Award from Daystar Life Center at the With These Hands Awards Banquet. This meaningful recognition celebrates organizations and individuals who exemplify collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to serving our community.

We are incredibly appreciative of this honor and grateful to Daystar Life Center for recognizing the collective effort behind the work.

Representing Our Firm and Our Community

We were proud to have a wonderful group representing the firm at the event, including Doug Jackson, Alexis Egozcue, and Mike Durkin. Doug also had the honor of speaking during the program, where he shared reflections on the spirit of community and the importance of standing together, especially during challenging times. His message resonated deeply and underscored why partnerships like these matter and that we need to remember to plant the seeds to grow into the tree’s that are the community.

Gratitude for Our Community Partners

This award belongs to many. We are thankful to have worked alongside an incredible group of community leaders and partners who continue to support Daystar Life Center and its mission, including:

  • Maggie Brazil, The Princess Martha

  • Debbie Viveiros, Bank of Tampa

  • Doug Homeyer, BPF Financial

  • Nicole Waters, Executive Director, Edge District

  • Tom Rocca, KPI Group/Summa Franchise Consulting

We also extend heartfelt thanks to Heidi Cornell, Executive Director of Daystar Life Center, who continues to be a beacon of light for the organization and a tireless advocate for individuals and families facing hardship.

Supporting Daystar During Critical Times

During the recent hurricanes and government shutdown, we were fortunate to work with partners across the community to collect food, nonperishable items, toiletries, and clothing for those in need. These efforts allowed us to deliver critical supplies directly to Daystar Life Center during a time of increased demand.

Additional thanks go to the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, the Edge District, Alisha Callaway of Invigorate, Harry Chippas of Spectrum Business, Amanda Meyer of the St. Pete Chamber, and the many other individuals and businesses who helped collect and deliver donations during such a trying period for our community.

While we appreciate this recognition, we proudly share it with everyone who stepped up to support Daystar and those they serve.
