Celebrating Mark’s Dedication, Service, and Leadership

Today, we’re celebrating more than a birthday. We’re celebrating a career built on service, discipline, and long-term commitment to both country and community.

Mark’s path to law is a testament to dedication. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from Michigan State University before deploying with the U.S. Army National Guard in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. While serving overseas, he earned his MBA, laying the foundation for a career that blends strategic thinking with real-world problem solving.

That ability to think strategically under pressure continues to shape his legal practice today.

After returning to the United States, Mark relocated to Florida to attend Stetson University College of Law. He completed his Juris Doctor part time while working professionally, first as the hiring manager for St. Petersburg College and later managing Stetson’s Center for Excellence in Higher Education Law and Policy. Balancing professional leadership with legal education requires focus and discipline, qualities that have consistently defined his career.

Since his admission to the Florida Bar in 2012, Mark has served in a range of corporate counsel roles across both public and private sectors. His experience includes positions at New College of Florida, St. Petersburg College, UPC Insurance, Feld Entertainment, and St. Thomas University. These roles allowed him to develop a broad legal perspective, working across institutions with complex operational and regulatory needs.

In 2025, Mark joined The Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson, bringing that experience into a practice centered on transactional law, VA disability representation, and probate. His military background uniquely positions him to understand the needs of veterans seeking disability benefits, while his corporate and institutional experience strengthens his transactional and estate planning work.
