Case Manager Stacey Bechtel Attends Wills for Heroes on July 16, 2022

by | Aug 1, 2022 | Firm News |

On Saturday, July 16, Case Manager Stacey Bechtel attended the Hillsborough County Bar Association Wills for Heroes event in Tampa.

Attorneys from the Hillsborough County Bar Association provided wills, health care advanced directives, and durable powers of attorney to members of the Tampa Police Department and their spouses on a pro bono basis.

The event was in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Paralegal Association (“TPBA”).  The TPBA Paraprofessionals acted as notaries and witnesses for the documents.  It was a wonderful event and terrific way to thank first responders for the invaluable work that they do protecting their community.

Stacey was struck by how many of the people who put their lives on the line every day did not have these important documents prepared to protect themselves and their families in the event of unforeseen circumstances.  This was Stacey’s first time attending this event which is held quarterly, and she looks forward to the next one to be held in October.

Stacey is a member of the Florida Bar and the Tampa Bay Paralegal Association.

Having a will, health care advanced directive, and a durable power of attorney are so important to ensure that your wishes are carried out in the event of any type of accident that could leave you unable to speak for yourself, even for a short period of time. When an accident or illness happens, having your plan in place provides your loved ones with assurance that they are acting clearly on your behalf.
