Message from the President – April 2022

Transcript:

Well hello. I’m Doug Jackson, founding attorney of the Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson. We’re back again with our second monthly newsletter. Like before, and like every time here to come, I’ve written a letter to you, my friends of the firm, that I want to read to you. Here we go.

Dear Friends of the Firm,

I am very excited to write our second letter to you in this second issue of our monthly newsletter.  We got a warm reception from our first newsletter, and we’re hoping that these continually improve.  As they do, we hope that you will feel more connected to our firm because any attorney-client relationship is based on trust.  Only a relationship can build trust, and that’s why we’ll continue to help you understand what goes on under our metaphoric hood.  Building that trust means that our readers are more likely to become our clients and our readers are more likely to refer us new clients.  Most importantly, however, it means that our current clients feel more comfortable as they work with this law firm.

This has been a very busy month.  I am excited to report that we won a trial that was set earlier this month.  Although we have many final hearings in our VA Disability practice and Social Security Disability practice, which are very similar to trials, our number of actual trials is more limited; yet, our civil and criminal practice is growing.  Winning a trial is a significant accomplishment as we continue to build our winning brand in new areas of litigation.

Additionally, we are continuing to focus our marketing efforts on Wills and Estate Planning, Criminal Law, and Family Law.  Based on the growth of the firm, we are also adding a focus on Business Law and Litigation to include Asset Protection, and Commercial Transactions to include, among other areas lease drafting.  As our Wills and Estate Planning practice area has expanded, we’ve begun to realize that many of our clients have businesses and assets that also need protection.  These businesses need to be protected from lawsuits, which has expanded our focus further into business litigation and commercial transaction planning and drafting.   This coincides with our mission to help the hard-working, average American.  Indeed, helping with small businesses and start-ups is exactly the help that hard-working, average Americans need.  We are continuing our informational campaign to show those hard-working, average Americans just how they can become entrepreneurs and really chase that American dream.

We’re clearly excited about our success this month and expanding our practice areas further, but, what I’m most excited about is the April newsletter’s focus on getting you to better know our team.  In this issue, we’ll give you a brief introduction to the other brilliant members of our team.  While I may be the face, the rest of the team is really the brains and the muscle.  Without them, this firm’s work-product wouldn’t be nearly what it has become.

Although the newsletter will only go out about monthly, the life and spirit of the Firm don’t stop in-between newsletters.  Therefore, we believe it is only fair to keep updated on Social Media and by creating website content, such as informative articles (blogs) to keep you updated in the interim.  Essentially, the newsletter will be somewhat of a highlight reel, so that you can tune into anything that you missed if you don’t want to keep up in real-time.

We are very excited about our expectations for 2022.  We hope for some big things for the firm and some big things to help you.

Remember, get your legal action at the Law Firm of Douglas G. Jackson.

Sincerely,

/s/ Douglas G. Jackson
