We are excited to welcome Meredith Pericles as an upcoming speaker at our BEN Workshop on February 19, hosted at the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Meredith’s presentation, Being the Change, Practically: From Idea to Impact, will offer a practical, real-world look at how community initiatives are built from the ground up and sustained over time. Drawing on her experience leading a growing nonprofit organization, Meredith will discuss how multisector partnerships are structured to last, how vision is translated into execution, and how businesses can engage meaningfully without adding complexity or losing focus.
About Meredith Pericles
Meredith Pericles is the Founder and Executive Director of the Do Good & Shine Brightly Foundation, a St. Petersburg-based nonprofit focused on building multilevel infrastructure within the local nonprofit ecosystem. The foundation is the organization behind Do Good Day (https://www.DoGoodDay.com), St. Pete’s premier nonprofit fair, along with multiple additional initiatives that have successfully launched and grown within their first year.
Under her leadership, the Foundation’s programs have secured awards and grant funding and continue to expand opportunities for coordinated, multisector engagement. Meredith was recently recognized as a Goal Getter by the Tampa Bay Lightning and AdventHealth, reflecting the organization’s impact and her ability to translate community vision into measurable action.
Meredith spent five years on the Board of Directors for the EDGE District Business Association and has supported local nonprofits through both pro bono and paid strategic work, giving her a deep understanding of the realities facing organizations at every stage of growth.
She is a graduate of the University of South Florida, where she studied criminology and political science. Earlier in her career, Meredith worked as a pediatric cardiac intensive care nurse, an experience that shaped her disciplined, outcomes-focused approach to leadership, systems, and accountability.
A mother of four with a lifelong heart of service, Meredith began volunteering alongside her Nana and parents as a young child. She has participated in both domestic and international mission work, including founding a mission trip to Brazil that continues to run to this day, grounding her leadership in hands-on changemaking rather than theory.
