Debra brings a powerful combination of real-world business experience and financial expertise. With more than 20 years as a small business owner and franchisee, she’s walked the entrepreneurial path herself—developing revenue growth strategies, enhancing sales, and ultimately executing a successful business exit.
From Entrepreneur to Economic Development Leader
After selling her business, Debra transitioned into the banking industry, helping both consumers and businesses navigate their financial and borrowing goals. Her background includes certifications from Wells Fargo and as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP-BCA), with a specialized focus on Business Credit Analysis.
She currently serves as the Business Development Manager at the Florida SBDC (Small Business Development Center) at Pinellas County Economic Development, where she works to empower businesses with tools and support to thrive. She also holds a certification as a Crowdfund BETTER Certified Advisor, showcasing her dedication to innovative funding solutions for entrepreneurs.
