Building Real Wealth Through Purposeful Planning with Alexis Guilbeau

For many business owners, success is often measured by revenue growth, expansion, and day-to-day operations. But building real, lasting wealth requires more than simply growing a business. It takes intentional planning, strategic decision-making, and a trusted advisor who understands both the numbers and the people behind them.

That is exactly the approach Alexis Guilbeau brings to her work.

With more than 14 years of experience in the financial services industry, Alexis has dedicated her career to helping individuals and business owners create financial strategies tailored to their unique goals and circumstances. Her philosophy is straightforward: set ambitious goals and work together to achieve them.

At the next Business Education Network Workshop, Alexis will present “From Revenue to Real Wealth: 4 Moves for Business Owners,” sharing practical strategies designed to help entrepreneurs move beyond simply generating income and toward building long-term financial security and sustainability.

A Personalized Approach to Financial Planning

Alexis specializes in creating personalized financial plans that evolve with each client’s life and business journey. Her experience includes working with clients and financial advisors across the country through previous roles with Ameriprise Financial and Northwestern Mutual.

She holds:

  • A Bachelor of Business Administration from Millsaps College
  • A Bachelor of Arts in French from Millsaps College
  • A Master of Business Administration from the Else School of Management at Millsaps College
  • Series 7 securities license
  • Florida Life, Accident & Health insurance license

But beyond credentials and experience, Alexis is deeply committed to helping people build lives that feel meaningful and secure.

Connecting People, Ideas, and Opportunity

Alexis describes her personal purpose simply:

“To connect people with people, ideas, and experiences that enrich their lives.”

Whether through professional introductions, sharing resources, or recommending a meaningful book, Alexis enjoys discovering what energizes others and helping provide opportunities that support their growth and success.

Outside of work, Alexis and her husband Cooper, who is also a Raymond James employee, live in St. Petersburg with their wonderful son Porter and their beloved fur babies. She is actively involved throughout the Tampa Bay community and currently serves as Chair of the NextGen Engagement Committee for PARC Center for Disabilities in Pinellas County.

She is also deeply involved with the Tampa Bay and St. Pete Chambers of Commerce and enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring everything the Tampa Bay area has to offer.

Helping Business Owners Think Bigger

One of the most impactful aspects of Alexis’s BEN Workshop presentation will be her focus on helping business owners think beyond short-term revenue and begin planning for sustainable, generational success.

Her presentation will emphasize practical financial moves that help entrepreneurs:

  • Protect personal and business assets
  • Create long-term financial stability
  • Prepare for retirement and succession planning
  • Build wealth intentionally rather than reactively

For business owners balancing growth, uncertainty, and long-term goals, those conversations are more important than ever.
